Looking for info about my ancestry. My great grandfather was Marian F Tackett who appears on the 1900 census in Champaign, IL. He was born in Bath County, KY on 2-5⁄1862 or 1863, and died in 1920. He married Lura B Fankboner around 1890. Lura was born 11-14-1867 in Indiana. I have found info in different places identifying her as Laura B and Lura V, but her gravestone lists her name as Lura B. Both of them are buried in Acacia Cemetery in IL. Their sons were all born in Illinois, presumably in Champaign: Ara R (born in 1892), William Clarence (born 10-25-1897), Marvin Frances (born around 1900), and Walker Wayne Tackett (born around 1901)

Looking for info on William Seymour Taylor who married Rillia Fyffe in Indiana 1894. They must of moved to Champaign County, Illinois between 1911 and 1914. They are in the 1920 census for Champagn City. Rillia is in the 1930 census so William must of died between 1921 and 1930. Rillia died in Champaign Nov 19, 1950.

Some old pictures of Ticer, Dowdy or Voss cousins surfaced in my family. One of the pictures from the early to mid 1800s is of a young woman named Rachel Dowdy Ticer taken in Urbana Illinois. She was born c. 1801 and died in Hamilton County OH December 08, 1875. Her mother was Lucy Dowdy and her step-father Augustin Ticer (or Tyzer or Tiser). Another family picture was taken in Fairbury, IL, so the Voss⁄Ticer family may have been visiting family. Rachel's half sister was Jane or Jennie Ticer who married Andrew Voss. Other Ticer siblings were Margaret, Uriah and Parsons Ticer. We are trying to locate Rachel's parents, Lucy Dowdy & Augustin Ticer, or others by this surname such as Austin, Dennis, Frances, Gabriel, Gideon, Israel, Louis, Rose, Violet or Jordan Ticer.
