I am looking for the death date of my 2nd great grandmother, Rixte Margarethe Saathoff. She died before august 15, 1880, which is the date of death of her husband, Coord Bohlen Saathoff, who is listed as a widower in his death record. They lived in the Flatville area. She went by Margarethe not Rixte. Her maiden name is listed in various documents as Rixte Margaretha Reents and Margaretha Menssen. Her father was Reent Menssen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does Champaign County have an historical society? Does the Sadorus House still exist? I am a little unclear regarding the years given for Henry Sadorus, as to when he died, married, settled in Illinois, etc. They don't seem to orrespond, if he lived to be 95 years of age. I am referring to the Henry born in 1738 in Bedford County, Pennsylvania. The reason I ask is because I am the great-great-great-great grandson of Allan Sadorus (at least from what I have been able to decipher). Thank you for your time.

I am seeking any information possible on Mary Heffernan and the Ellis J. Stanley Families. Mary married Clark C. Stanley between 1900 and 1904. She then obtained a divorce before 1910. During the short marriage she gave birth to Ellis William Stanley on March 22, 1904 in Champaign. Ellis William is my prime interest.

Ellis J. Stanley moved his family from Carroll Co. to Champaign Co. between 1900 and 1904. The family consisted of:

Ellis J. Stanley (born 02⁄24⁄1842, Union Grove, Whiteside, ILL)

Anna Dick (born 05⁄29⁄1849, Dekell, Ill)

Clark C. Stanley (born 09⁄12⁄1881, Iowa)

Frank J. Stanley (born Oct, 1890, Missouri)

Otis Stanley (born 05⁄22⁄1874, Montezuma, Iowa)

Other children of Ellis J. Stanley are Martha, Henry, Harvey, Clyde and Archie. I have no birthdates on those so I am not sure if they were in the household or not. They do not appear on the 1910 census.
