My grandfather, Daniel Patrick Kelly, was constructing the roadbed for a railroad in St. Joseph when for some reason he became ill and returned to Missouri where he died June 3, l903. My grandmother returned to St. Joseph and with the help of her brothers finished the construction. I wonder if there are any items in the newspaper archives of this construction and of his death.

I purchased a turn of the century photo album with 17 portraits, all taken in Urbana, that look like they were all taken in 1893. I'm saying that because only one of the photo, which was identified, stated on the back "Wm H. Kiler, UHS'93. I am assuming that meant Urbana High School 1893. Almost all of the men are wear suits with white ties. If anyone wants me to send them a scan of Wm. Kiler, let me know @ LRieger@worldnet.att.net
