On August 7, 1922, Frank Eaton of Sidney signed a death certificate for Nancy K. Mitchell, age 85. In 1920 Nancy was living on S. First St., Champaign with a granddaughter Elizabeth A. Porter, age 24, born Missouri. Nancy's maiden name was Dougherty. She married Alonzo Mitchell in Vermilion County in 1854. I can find this family in the census until after 1860. I think they went to Kansas or Missouri but I cannot find them. Nancy and Alonzo had three children, Anna, Ellis and Inez so Elizabeth is the daughter of either Inez or Anna. I think that perhaps Elizabeth Porter may have married Frank Eaton, between 1920 and 1922. The Champaign Clerks office requires a DATE of marriage which I do not have. If I had it I would not be looking so hard. I would like to be able to follow this line on down because of my interest in the Dougherty Family. Nancy is buried at the Greenview Cemetery in Fairmount. Does anyone know of this family. Thanks

I am trying to locate the family of Ina B. Evans. Ina's maiden name was Wintjen. She was born 1-29-1907 in Calhoun County, Illinois. Ina's father was Gevert Wintjen who died 8-8-1853. He lists as his daughter Ina B. Evans. I don't have Ina's husbands first name; just unknown Evans. At the time of Ina's fathers death, in 1953, Mrs. Ina Evans was living in Champaign, Illinois. Any information on this family would be very much appreciated, so that I can carry this family forward. I have data to share on Ina's family. Sincerely, Shirley Graham shirgraham@aol.com
