I would like to obtain an obituary for Mathias P. Covert who died 4 Oct 1886 in Rantoul, Ill. An obit was published 6 Oct 1886 in the Champaign County Gazette, according to a secondary source. I believe he left descendants in the county.

My purpose is to discover whether the obit mentions a sister, Anna (Covert) Bailey, who lived in Lockport, Niagara Co., N.Y. and died 4 July 1889, probably in Lockport. She was the wife of George Washington Bailey. Proving that she was Mathias's sister is beginning to seem easier than proving her parentage directly. She and George were my gt-gt-grandparents.
