Looking for information about Rachel Ann Baltzell who was b. abt. 1849 in either Shelby Co. or Darke Co., OH. Her father was Peter Baltzell who d. 1850 in Shelby Co., OH and mother was Malinda Sharp. Rachel Ann, her sister Eliza Jane, and mother Malinda were living with Lydia Baltzell (Peter's widowed mother) on the 1850 Shelby Co., OH census. When the grandmother (Lydia) moved to Champaign Co., IL with her remaining children in abt. 1852, she took Rachel Ann and Eliza Jane with her -- but not the mother Malinda. Eliza Jane Baltzell married in Champaign Co. However, I don't know what happened to Rachel Ann Baltzell. She lived for a time with Jacob Alexander Baltzell (one of Lydia's sons) in Champaign Co., IL until he moved to Barton Co., MO. I don't know whether Rachel Ann moved with the family to MO or stayed in IL or what. I haven't found any marriage records for her. Any clues would be most welcomed

Ferdinand W. Bassett lived in Champaign, IL at 604 East Clark St. In 1906 he ran for "Township Collector". He was married to Mary Williams. I found him on the 1910 Census in Champaign City at age 67. Mary was 61. He was retired and no children lived in his home. He did not appear on the 1920 Census so I assume he passed away between 1910 and 1920 in Champaign. I'm trying to find when he died and to locate the place of his burial. It would be interesting to know if he was successful in his campaign for "collector".

I am looking for information on my great grand parents, Allen Bland and Hannah Wadkins Bland. They were listed on the 1870 census for Sidney with three sons, John, William A. & Baby. In 1880, Hannah is listed on the census for St Joseph with sons John, William A. & James A. Allen is not listed so I presume he died between 1870 & 1880. The three sons later moved to Decatur, were married and died in Illinois, but Hannah is not listed after 1880 so she either re-married or died after 1880. I have been unable to find any other record or Allen or Hannah, where the came from or where the died or burial record. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
