John Thomas PENCE, living in St. Joe in 1880 with wife Ella ?. Born in Indiana June, 1853, son of David PENCE and Mahala ?, who was David's 2nd wife. John had 2 sisters, Kate & Ella who lived in New Castle, IN. and a 1D2 bro., James Henry PENCE and two 1D2 sisters, Jane and Eliza. John & Ella's children were Emma, 1876, Charles, Oct 1877, Edith, Sep, 1879, Clyde, May 18, 1882-d. Sep 1962, Clarence, Jul 1885, Lewis, Dec 1891, Lora I., Oct 1894 and CArl, Oct 1899. I have all information about John's father, David K. PENCE and all of his ancestors. I need info on John's and her family and on John's children. I would like to hear from anyone who is researching John PHILLIPPE and wife, Elizabeth WHETSELL. John was born 22 Dec 1790 in VA and Elizabeth was born 8⁄18 May 1793 probably in Carroll Co, MD. They married 7 Feb 1811 in Wythe Co, VA. Elizabeth was the daughter of Peter and Elizabeth WHETSELL and John was the son of Christopher PHILLIPPE and, I believe, Elizabeth STEFFEY. I would like to know if John and Elizabeth are both buried in the Bryant Cemetery in Mahomet, IL. Thank you for any assistance.

I am looking for anyone who may have information on my grandmother Laura Myrtle (SAMPSON) JOHNSON. She was born near Peru, in Miami Co., Indiana in 1894. She died in Arizona on the 8th of October 1949. In between she married and had at least three children. She lived in the Champaign-Urbana area from about 1915-1920's then moved to Tampa, Florida and finally lived in Phoenix Arizona. I would like to know if she had an obituary in the Champaign-Urbana local newspapers. Also in the Peru, Miami Co. newspapers. If you can help me on this I would be grateful.
