Need help in looking for proof of birth and⁄or records in Champaign Co. for a Lillian(Lillie) TAYLOR. There is possibly one additional brother or sister whose name is unknown. It is believed that she was born to Wally TAYLOR and Laura PROUGH who were married in Champaign Co. IL on 8 Feb 1887. Wally and Laura were divorced 11 April 1902. Laura married William ATER day after divorce was granted. Wally deserted Laura on or about 8 December 1899. Laura's entry on 1900 US census of Champaign Co. shows she was a mother of 2 children, with one living. No child listed living with Laura. Laura ATER died at Princeton IL 1 June 1916. Her death certificate was signed by a Lillie Warren. It is believed that this signature was of the first daughter of Wally and Laura.

Looking for information of any kind on the James Marion Thompson family. At least one child was born in Homer, IL in February 1874. Sometime before August 1889 part, or all, of family moved to the Iowa Park Texas vicinity. Later moved to Grayson County, TX James Marion Thompson - born 02-26-1836, died 06-23-1902. Married Sarah Ashmore, date unknown, born 01-15-1841, died 06-13-1912. Both are buried at Gordonville, Grayson County, Tx. Children: Herschel Adell, Golden Alexander, Sarah Ione, Santfore Elmore, Nora Ellen, Lelia Ann, Marion Franklin, Mary Almina and Inza Arna Thompson.

I am researching Samuel Cramer WALDEN (b-19 Jan 1836, near Manchester, Adams Co, OH; d-1915, probably near Mattoon, IL) married Hannah NAYLOR (b-4 Dec 1838, OH). Her parents were Samuel and Sarah NAYLOR. They had children: Mary B. (b-29 Nov 1860), William (b-28 Dec 1862), Lizzie Abertle (b-16 Feb 1867), Nora Jane (b-24 Jun 1869) married G. W. TETLEY, John Edmund (b-19 May 1872), Benjamin Coe (b-27 Oct 1875, Richland, Shelby Co, IL). I found a Land Record on the Internet that says a Samuel C. WALDEN purchased land in Champaign Co, IL in 1870. Does anyone have any knowledge of this Samuel C. WALDEN? I am still "researching" records of Samuel Cramer WALDEN in Illinois without much success. I am wondering, too, if maybe he was in Indiana or Ohio for a while. Any information or leads would be greatly appreciated.

Searching for information on William H. WILLIAMSON, b-18 Nov 1848, Menard Co, IL; d-27 Oct 1888, Jacksonville, IL. He was a locomotive engineer on the IB&W Railroad which later became the P&E Railroad. He married Susan A. ?, b-29 Feb 1854, Steubenville, OH. She was orphaned at an early age and came to Urbana when 16 years old to make her home with her sister, Mrs. Robert Bowman who ran a restaurant on Main street. Mrs. WILLIAMSON died in Portland, OR and is buried at Urbana, Il in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Susan lived for many years in the 400 and 500 blocks on West University Avenue. She was a member of the First M.E. Church and the Women's Relief Corps of Urbana. Known children: Pearl (m. Frank L. HEEB), Earl, and Paul. Pearl HEEB was a teacher in the Urbana, IL school system for many years prior to moving to Portland, OR where she also taught school. Earl WILLIAMSON worked at the Union Pacific Railroad at Tekoa, WA and later lived near Connelsville, IN on a farm. Paul WILLIAMSON worked for the P&E Railroad Shop in Urbana, IL and is buried at Urbana. Paul lived at 204 S. Race Street in 1928. Would appreciate any information on any of the people mentioned above. Thanks in advance.

Searching for information on the parents of Thomas D. WRIGHT. He was born to James and Milly WRIGHT on 12 Aug 1859 in Champaign Co. According to Thomas who lived to be 101 and died in Danville, IL, his mother and father died when he was three and he lived with relatives from that time until he was grown. I really need information on where James and Milly came from and what their parents' names were. I believe that I have the date of marriage being 2 Aug 1849 in Shelby Co, IL.
