Does anyone know of this Jonson⁄Johnson⁄Johnston ? Descendants of Violetta Letta B Jonson Generation No. 1: 1. Violetta Letta B2 Jonson (L H1) was born 1864 in Ohio, and died 1899 in Oakwood?. She married Charles F Allison October 18, 1883 in Newtown, Vermilion County, Illinois, son of Otha Allison and Minerva Cosat. Notes for Violetta Letta B Jonson: Marriage certificate shows Charles is age 22, and Letta is 19. She was from Middlefork Township. Witnesses were "Frank Jonson" and "Mrs Wycoff". They were married "at the residence of the bride's parents" in Vermilion County. The license is signed in "Newtown, Ill by D Brewer, Minister." She was born in Ohio. Father's name shows "L H Jonston", but the 't' is very dark in comparison to the other letter, making one wonder if it was added later. The caretaker of the Pleasant Grove cemetery is Walter Grimes 354-4373. He says that all the cemetery records were destroyed in a fire in 1930. The 1890 Census shows: Charles, Head, WM July 1863, Nellie, dau WF Dec 1884 age 15, born in IL Jesse, son WM Sept 1887, age 12, born in IL Willie, son, WM Dec 1889, age 10, born in IL Harry, son WM, Dec 1891, age 8, born in IL
